UPDATE at 10:34 a.m. April 28: Samba returned home early Sunday morning.

WESTFIELD, NJ – A Bengal cat named Samba has been known to travel up to a mile from his home, but on Friday night he did not return, his owner said.

Samba can be “very noisy” and is micro-chipped to the name, Habib, his owner said. He is also blind and was last thought to be between Forest and North avenues, the owner, Christina Izmirlian, said.

As of Saturday night, Samba's whereabouts remained unknown, Izmirlian said. “He’s very afraid of dogs,” she said.
