The Lorenzo Brothers are “Twins” that arrived in the United State in April, 1980, and may be fouond at their comfortable, family restaurant in Garwood. As families have discovered, they serve specially-prepared, home-cooked meals to an enormous clientele, who treat their comfortable, Garwood Family Restaurant, like the dining room in their own home.

Having honed their skills from the moment they arrived to work at Ferraro’s in the town of Westfield, the self-taught brothers continue to claim responsibility for the three stars that Ferrraro’s received while they were heading-up their “Fine Dining Kitchen."

“It was always our dream to become “Fine Chefs,” added the self-taught brothers. “We pride ourselves on serving only the freshest food. We are proud of our daily pasta specials, and we believe all of our chicken dishes are consistantly, delicious.”

Our newsletter delivers the local news that you can trust.

With a menu that has been truly created for folks that enjoy fine Italian food, may I suggest you start with a loaf of their garlic bread, ($2.50), with added cheese, ($.50). Then choose from a hefty host of hot or cold appetizers. From Clams Oreganato, ($6.50) to Fried Zucchini, ($7.25) to Mussels Marinara, served hot or sweet, ($9.95), to calimari or Scungilli Salad, ($11.50), you’ll enjoy the many selections of creative dishes.

Of course, the menu includes soup and salad, starting with their very special, Minestrone or Soup of the Day, (Cup:$2.50; Bowl: $3.25 ). But, I do believe it is the variety of pasta dishes that lures folks to Lorenzo’s.

“We’re kown for our gnocchi, homemade Dumplings in Red Sauce, ($12.95), and our fabulous Penne Vodka, plain, ($12.95), or with the addition of shrimp or chicken, ($14.95), added the brothers. “It all arrives freshly prepared and delicious."

With a full menu of all your favorite Italian dishes, you’re also able to choose, a Grilled Chicken Cutlet, ($7.35), Eggplant, or Chicken Parmigiana, ($7.95), and of course Meatball or Sausage Parmigiana.

You’ll be happy with the dessert selections as well. From Tartufo’s, ($5.50), to Tortoni ($4.95) and Spumoni ($4.00), there’s also a housemade Tiramisu and Italian Cheesecake, ($5.00).
