LAFAYETTE (NJ) - Pass It Along is set to hold the 35th Annual Pass It Along Scholar Athlete Banquet on March 5, 2020 at the Lake Mohawk Country Club, located in Sparta, New Jersey. This year's scholar athletes were nominated by the school principals and athletic directors of twelve local school districts, based on their hard-work, altruism, and ambition both in the classroom and on-the-field.

The program originated with United Way of Northern New Jersey, bringing local communities together to celebrate the academic, athletic and community service accomplishments of local high school students. In 2014, the program was handed down to Pass It Along. The event is made possible by this year’s presenting sponsor, The Orthopedic Institute of New Jersey, located in Sparta, New Jersey.

Pass It Along's mission is to build confident, resilient, compassionate teenagers through self-discovery, volunteer and leadership opportunities. This year, the nominees are currently creating a field day for local high school students with developmental disabilities. Students will gather for sports, activities, board games and more.

Members of their family, friends, sponsors, school administration and the local community will be invited to attend the banquet. Each scholar athlete will receive a scholarship in conjunction with their recognition. Local businesses, schools, family and friends can showcase their support of these young rising stars and the Sussex County community by signing on as a sponsor, purchasing ad space, and/or attending the banquet.
