The Sleepy Hollow Halloween Show
Children ages 5+ can tour Sleepy Hollow with Katrina Van Tassle and Ichabod Crane on Thursday, October 17 at 6:30pm at Kennedy Library (500 Hoes Lane, Piscataway). This spooky-but-not scary-Halloween tale from Kit’s Interactive Theatre features dancing skeletons and hobgoblins. This participatory show combines history, dance, music, imagination, improvisation with a boat-load of humor. 

Makerspace Drop-In: 3D Printing, Laser Cutting, and Virtual Reality 
Stop by the MiY Makerspace at Kennedy Library (500 Hoes Lane, Piscataway) on Thursday, October 17 from 6:30 to 8pm to learn about more about our 3D printers and Glowforge laser cutter/engraver. Try out LearnRoll LLC a STEM based education company designing exciting and innovative VR experiences for school age students.  Children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by an adult during any visits to the MiY Makerspace.

Diwali for Kids 
Celebrate Diwali at Kennedy Library (500 Hoes Lane, Piscataway) on Saturday, October 19 at 1pm. Enjoy an interactive story time and special activities including traditional music and dance, crafts for all ages, mehndi, and sweet holiday treats. All ages welcome. 

How to Get into the Ivy League
Ever wonder exactly what it takes to get into a top-tier college like Harvard or Princeton? What do elite colleges look for in applicants, and how can you make sure you’re a competitive one? Teens and parents can find out at Westergard Library (500 Hoes Lane, Piscataway) on Monday, October 21 at 7pm. 

Teen LED Origami Flower
Participants in grades 6 to 12 will create, design, and solder a circuit that will light up a beautiful paper folded flower bringing some ART into STEAM. Join us on Tuesday, October 22 at 3pm at Westergard Library (20 Murray Avenue, Piscataway). Register at piscatawaylibrary.org/origamiflower 

Meet the Makerspace: Laser Cutter
Piscataway Public Library’s MiY Makerspace is home to all kinds of cool equipment - teens in grades 6 to 12 can learn more on Wednesday, October 23 at 3pm at Kennedy Library (500 Hoes Lane, Piscataway). Use Inkscape, a software that can be hooked up to our GlowForge laser cutter. Teens will learn the basics and create their own design. Register at piscatawaylibrary.org/lasercutter
