Did you miss a movie that you wanted to see in the theaters and don’t want to pay to rent it or for the DVD? Come to “Monday Night Movies” at the library. It’s all the fun of a movie theater but none of the cost. We are showing brand new releases every Monday night and we will be providing popcorn for all who attend. This week’s movie is a sequel to a 2014 hit Marvel movie and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Kurt Russell and the voices of Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper. Two months after defeating the fanatical Kree terrorist Ronan, the Guardians of the Galaxy continue to travel through space fighting for justice, and trying to get along with one another. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mystery of Peter Quill's true parentage. Their journey leads them to a powerful cosmic being named Ego (Russell), and his charge, the empathic Mantis. But they also find a new threat to the galaxy, and Quill, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and baby Groot must do all they can to save the lives of billions. This movie is rated PG-13. The movie that is shown on Monday night will also be shown again on the subsequent Wednesday at 12:30 pm for those that can’t make the Monday night showing or don’t like to drive at night. Stop by the library and pick up a schedule of the movies being shown.

On Friday, September 15 at 3pm, the South Plainfield Public Library welcomes Dr. Paul Arfanis who will present a program entitled: “Tell Me About Implant Dentistry”. No matter how diligently you may brush, floss, or visit your dentist, sometimes your teeth just can’t hold up with age. As you grow older, it is not unlikely for one or more teeth to fall out from sickness, injury, or decay. If you’re missing teeth, surgical implants may be the best solution to complete your smile again. In this program we plan to educate you as much as possible on the benefits of implant dentistry. We will tell you what implants are, what they're made of, the different types of implants, the benefits of implants, the possible risks of implants, the length of the process and how to tell if implants are the best choice for you. This program presented free, and no registration is required. Dr. Arfanis has been in the dentistry business for over 30 years. He continuously attends seminars and classes to learn the most he can about dentistry. This program is presented free and no registration is required.
