The Mommy's Review was honored to be invited to Getting Gorgeous 2015, a beauty, fashion, kids stuff and more expo hosted by the glamtastic superduo of Audrey McLelland of Mom Generations and Vera Sweeney of I'm Not Obsessed. My kids and I headed over to the Metropolitan Pavilion in NYC to check it out.

We kicked off our Getting Gorgeous experience with photos on the red carpet, naturally, followed by a turn through the interactive photo booth from Freehold-based Devine Photo Booths. Kodak was also on hand to introduce some new products (while treating attendees to chair massages), while Spa Chicks on the Go were offering manicures.

Stokke was there showcasing some of their newest items, BALI offered bra fittings, and  Liquid Oxygen, a new, all-natural skincare line offered face readings. Liquid Oxygen was created by a plastic surgeon to help fight acne, but since it is free of benzoyl peroxide, fragrance, and parabens,  it can be used on all skin types.

Our newsletter delivers the local news that you can trust.

One of the biggest draws of the event was from title sponsor Restylane Silk, whose expansive booth featured a dermatologist offering skin and lip analysis, as well as injections to help maintain #GorgeousLips. There were also mini-makeovers, where a makeup artist gave me some fabulous smoky eyes and treated my daughter to a little blush and lip gloss. (She was thrilled!)

As part of Getting Gorgeous we were able to learn more about Trollbeads, a jewelry/accessory company that started back in 1976. We were invited to select from a wide assortment of leather bands and then choose our own beautiful Trollbead, which was then placed on the band and styled. It's a very cool and totally personal type of jewelry where you can really express yourself by mixing and matching your favorites.

There were also a number of very yummy stations as part of Getting Gorgeous. My kids and I eat yogurt almost every day, so we were thrilled to see Chobani Greek Yogurt there. They were introducing their new line of Chobani Greek Yogurt for Kids and Tots, which is designed to be healthier for kids, with less sugar, more protein, and Omega 3 DHA. My kids devoured the Vanilla Chocolate Dust flavor and haven't stopped asking me to buy more! By the way, did you know you could freeze Chobani's yogurt tubes before putting them in your child's lunchbox? They'll be defrosted and ready to eat by lunchtime!

We love seltzer AND we take probiotic vitamins every day, so it was exciting for us to try KeVita's Sparkling Probiotic Drinks - a great combination of both! With 10 different flavors, KeVita has a delicious and refreshing way for everyone to get these healthy bacteria into their digestive systems.

Something not for the kids, but still fun were the samples from Holl & Kamp's Cocktail Caviar, which are just like Asian boba (or "poppy things" as my kids and I call them), but they are naturally-flavored alcoholic spirits. The company offers flavors such as Lychee, Peach, Blueberry, Green Apple, and Raspberry.

Finally, I loved the Sweet Tomato Jam from The Backyard Food Company. This new specialty food business makes and line of all-natural, gourmet jams, butters, and relishes, including such varieties as Rhode Island Sweet Relish and Wholly Jalapeno.

Our time at Getting Gorgeous came to an end, and we were sent home with a huge goodie bag filled with everything from a Colgate toothbrush set to the Liquid Oxygen products to a Stokke hooded baby towel. It was fabulous from beginning to end, and I can't wait to go back next year!
