CHARLOTTE, N.Y — I Love My Park Day is an annual event that brings together thousands of volunteers to celebrate and enhance New York's parks, historic sites, and public lands. DEC has events at a variety of locations — from trails in the Forest Preserve to popular campgrounds to urban escapes — providing many opportunities for New Yorkers to help clean up, restore, and enhance these special places.
One event will be from 9 a.m. to noon in the Boutwell Hill State Forest. Volunteers will meet at the parking lot on the corner of Lewis and Ruttenbur Roads, Charlotte N.Y.
Volunteers will help Chautauqua County Equestrian Trails by tidying up the horse trails for spring. This will include raking and picking up sticks and debris on the trail, plus tidying up the parking area of garbage and debris. All ages welcome. Bring garden gloves, water, snack, loppers, rakes and sturdy shoes.
