Bridgewater Garden Club

The Bridgewater Garden Club will be holding a meeting at the Bridgewater Township Library, on Vogt Drive, with Bruce Crawford, director of Rutgers Gardens and adjunct professor in landscape architecture at the university, who will discuss creating public gardens. He will trace the 400-year history of public gardens, which were originally dedicated to public health by growing medicinal plants. Today’s gardens focus on the needs of the community highlighting environmental issues and food insecurity concerns.
