"HOW TO BEST PREPARE FOR YOUR CHILD'S IEP"

BEST PRACTICES FOR PARENTS of children with special needs at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels will each be discussed, with tips on how to best prepare for your child's IEP (Individualized Education Program). The 9:30 AM session will be tailored for parents of children with special needs aging out of EI through Pre-K, Kindergarten, and first grade. The 7:00 P.M. session will be a broader session and include advice for parents with children of all ages.
HILLARY FREEMAN is a special education attorney who is deeply committed to her work representing people with disabilities and their families. As the sister of a man with autism, she is able to combine personal experiences with her legal training to help families advocate for services and supports. Ms. Freeman also provides estate planning for parents of individuals with disabilities, advocating for adult services, government benefits, and guardianship. She is a member of the American Association of Trial Attorneys, the International Dyslexia Association and Autism New Jersey. In addition to her Princeton office, Ms. Freeman also has offices located in Freehold and Haddonfield, New Jersey.
