Local Historian and Producer to Speak at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - On Saturday, February 2, at 2:30 P.M the Ministry of Racial Diversity of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church is sponsoring the viewing of a 1-hour documentary “Sweet Georgie Brown” and a discussion facilitated by the director and producer, Somerset resident Lawrence E. Walker.

A graduate of Kean University with a BA degree in communication, Mr. Walker has had numerous years of work in TV/Film Production.  He has done extensive research of African American history events for documentaries. 

His book, “Sweet Georgia Brown:  Impact, Courage, Sacrifice and Will”, was just published and is available at Amazon.com.  He is President/CEO of Lawrence E. Walker Foundation.

The program is open to the public.  Reservations are requested.  Contact the church at 732-297-4607 or send an e-mail message to office@stbarnabas-sbnj.org.  A free-will donation is welcomed to help defray expenses.  Light refreshments will be served.

St. Barnabas is located at 142 Sand Hill Road in the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick, about ½ mile from Route 1 and 1 mile from Route 27.
