Saint Peter's University Hospital Hosts Skin Cancer Screening Event on Don't Fry Day

To kick-off Memorial Day weekend, Saint Peter’s University Hospital’s Community Health Services staff will host a free community skin cancer screening event on National Don’t Fry Day (May 24). Don’t Fry Day is designated to raise awareness of sun safety and encourage everyone to take steps to protect their skin.

As millions of Americans prepare to enjoy the great outdoors this summer, the risk for ultraviolet (UV) damage of the skin increases. Skin cancer is on the rise in the U.S., but fortunately skin cancer can be prevented and if found early, it is highly curable.
