Spring Reins Of Life Shelter Dedication and Demo

A shelter built by Aravind Krishnan, a member of Boy Scout Troop 489 for the horses of Spring Reins of Life will be dedicated.

For his Eagle Scout project he raised funds and built a new shelter for the horses so they could have access to more pasture space. The project is now complete and a dedication ceremony will be held on Sept. 1 at 10:30 a.m. at the farm.

Spring Reins of Life is a non-profit , EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association) model program offering Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) and Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) which incorporates the use of horses for therapeutic intervention toward promoting emotional growth and healing.

Assemblyman Roy Freiman will be the keynote speaker and a there will be a demonstration of how equine therapy works.

Spring Reins of Life provides services to military veterans and their families, bereaved children, at-risk/high-risk youth and addiction recovery.

The program operates from Hunt Cap Farm, 401 Main St., Three Bridges.
