Yorktown Pride March

Yorktown for Justice will host a Pride Month ceremony/parade on Saturday, June 12.

Following a noon ceremony at town hall, the group will march to Jack DeVito Veterans Memorial Field.

Among the speakers at town hall will be Congressman Mondaire Jones, whose 17th District covers most of Yorktown. In the fall, Jones, who succeeded Nita Lowey, became the first openly gay Black man elected to Congress.

A post-march party will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Yorktown Grille. The party was organized by Yorktown resident, Anthony Calbi.
