Sparta Police: Wrongly Placed Plate Leads to Drug Arrest

SPARTA, NJ –A traffic stop for a Swartswood resident ended with drug charges.  On June 14 around 1:30 a.m. Officer Michael Poon stopped Maeghan Tomasula, 21 when he saw the rear license plate in the rear window of the grey Honda Accord, police said.

Sparta Police: Sparta Man Left Car on Lawn, Faces DWI Charges

SPARTA, NJ – A Sparta man faces drunk driving charges after his car was found on the front lawn of a home on Douglas Drive.  On June 15 around 11:45 p.m. Cpl. Arlene Lippencott went to the home at the intersection of Green Road to fine a grey Jeep Compass abandon in the yard, police said.

Newark Man Sentenced to 24 Years for Killing of Roselle Man Over a Facebook Post Argument

ELIZABETH, NJ - A Newark man has been sentenced to 24 years in state prison for being responsible for the fatal shooting of a Roselle man that was sparked by an argument over a post made on Facebook.
