Australian Grass Parakeets Invite You to Visit Them at Turtle Back Zoo

WEST ORANGE, NJ - The aviary, home of more than 500 Australian Grass Parakeets, is now open at Essex County Turtle Back Zoo. 

The aviary, part of the Australian Outback area, allows zoo guests to walk among free-flying birds. For $2, guests can purchase a food stick, allowing the colorful birds to eat from their hands.
