Thief Steals BMW And Porsche From South Orange Resident

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - A North Woods Drive resident reported that a BMW and a Porsche were stolen from his garage around 2 a.m. on Tuesday, police said.

The BMW was located around 10:30 a.m. on South 17th Street in Newark. The Porsche is still active, police said.

The South Orange Detective Bureau is actively investigating the incident.

Essex County Officials Investigate Police Shooting

April 22, 2019

NEWARK, NJ - The Essex County Prosecutor's Office is investigating a shooting involving a police officer, Essex County Prosector Theodore N. Stephens II said.

The preliminary investigation indicates that an off-duty state prison corrections officer shot a suspect during an attempted robbery overnight into Sunday, Stephens said in a press release on Monday.

The officer was not injured.

Driver in Death of Pregnant Verona Woman Sentenced to 10 Years
