WARETOWN - On Saturday, the Waretown Fire Department responded to a report of an injured person in the water of the Barnegat Bay. 

The Ocean Township Police Department and the Waretown Fire Department arrived and located a person in the water. Waretown's Ice-Cold Water Rescue team rescued the person with their special dry suits and a stokes basket.

BARNEGAT, NJ - Tuesday, March 21, the Barnegat Township firefighters battled a blaze in the Mirage section of town.

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that Lisa Ziobro, 44, of Barnegat, was charged with two counts of Aggravated Arson and four counts of Arson.

WARETOWN  - After several months of preparation the reassessment of Ocean Township is under way. A letter by the Tax Assessor Martin Lynch is being mailed the last week of March to each property owner informing them of the start of the reassessment process.

Section of Route 72 East to be Closed Friday Night

MANAHAWKIN, NJ - New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) announced that there will be a road closure and detour in a section of Route 72 East in Manahawkin on Friday, March 24.

The closure is between Marsha Drive and Morris Boulevard and will begin at 8 p.m. until 7 a.m. on Saturday, March 25. 

This roadwork is a part of the Manahawkin Bay Bridge Project.
