April 27, 2022LONG BEACH ISLAND REGION - It is now official. The 2022 version of the LBI Spring Surf Fishing Derby is in high gear. Two fish were weighed in to initiate what appears to be a highly competitive contest.
Pat Gallen got things started on Thursday, April 21, with an 18.12-pound linesider that fell for a salted clam. The fish measured out at 37 7/8-inches, just under the 38-inch cutoff point.
