There has been no greater honor than to serve you as Mayor of our great community. The past four years have been stellar for New Providence. We have made great strides and accomplished many great things together. We are a growing and changing community with a proud tradition of excellence that has been my deepest honor and privilege to serve and uphold.

Vermeule Mansion to Participate in Weekend Journey Event in October

The Vermeule Mansion will participate in the annual Weekend Journey Through the Past, a weekend tour of historically significant places in Somerset County.  Approximately 30 sites will participate in the event run by the Somerset County Cultural and Heritage Commission, scheduled for Saturday, Oct 13, 10-5 p.m. and Sunday, Oct 14, noon-4 p.m.  The program has run for 13 years.  ...

Rutgers President Barchi Staying 2 More Years

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - Rutgers University President Robert Barchi has agreed to continue in that position for two more years, university officials said.
