Dennis M. Ciak, 63, died suddenly, Thursday, August 29, 2019, at home in South Plainfield.
Born in Sayerville, Dennis is a lifelong resident of South Plainfield, graduating from South Plainfield High School in 1973.
Before his retirement, Dennis worked for GPS Trucking located in Piscataway. He was a member of the South Plainfield Volunteer Fire Department as well as the Piscataway American Legion Post #261. Dennis enjoyed camping in his RV and watching Nascar races on T.V.
Predeceased by his parents, Anthony S. Ciak and Irene (nee Viera) Ciak, and two brothers, Stephen and Allen Ciak; surviving are his wife, Stephanie Ciak of South Plainfield; brothers, Bobby and wife Carrie of FL, Tony and wife Diane, Liz and husband, Rich of Kansas, and sisters-in-law, Evelyn of Parlin, Ellen and husband Bobby of South Plainfield.
He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews, Samantha, Robert and wife Alyssa, and Alexa of South Plainfield; goddaughter, Sydney and fiancé Ben of Bound Brook along with his beloved cats, Smokey Man and Jackie and brother in law, sisters in law and a host of family scattered throughout the United States.
Family and friends are invited to gather in Dennis’s favorite casual attire, shorts and a t-shirt, at the McCriskin – Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield NJ 07080 on Tuesday September 3, 2019 from 6PM to 9PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Dennis’s memory to the Plainfield Humane Society, 75 Rock Avenue, Plainfield NJ 07063.
