Paul F. Pellegrino

Paul F. Pellegrino, 91, died Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown.

Born in East Harlem, New York, to the late Vivian and Joseph Pellegrino, Paul has been a lifelong resident of South Plainfield, settling to the Borough in 1938.  He served as Sergeant with the United States Army’s Audit Agency during the Korean War, receiving a National Defense Service Medal as well as a Good Conduct Medal. 

Paul initially started his career in 1958 with Triangle Conduit and Cable Company as a controller, working his way up to Executive Vice President in 1966.  He retired in 1984 as Executive Vice President from Rowe International of Whippany. 

After retirement, Paul loved nothing more than being with his grandchildren especially when they were participating in their sporting events.  He was always ready for a road trip and a big fan of Notre Dame Football, fulfilling his dream by attending a home game on his 70th birthday. He also loved the NY Giants, NY Yankees, golf and reading. 

A communicant of Sacred Heart RC Church, Paul was also on the board for the National Association of Accountants.  Paul coached all three sons during little league baseball and will always be remembered for his homemade gravy and meatballs he made during the holidays.  He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and was always available for advice and counsel.

Predeceased by his wife, Teresa Pellegrino; surviving are his three sons, Paul A. Pellegrino of Naples, FL, Robert Pellegrino and wife Michelle of Basking Ridge and Perry Pellegrino of Atlanta, Ga and eight grandchildren, Nicole, Johnathan, Devin, John Perry, Michael, Ireland, Vivian and Gianna.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 9AM in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield NJ 07080 followed by a funeral mass in Sacred Heart RC Church at 10:30AM.

Burial will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.

Family and friends may gather in the funeral home on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 6-8PM.
