SPOTSWOOD, NJ - You don't have to be Lightning McQueen to enjoy the Spotswood High School's second annual Car Show on Sunday, September 22 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. This fun family-friendly event features music, door prizes, a 50/50, raffles, food and more. All of the proceeds go to benefit the Spotswood High School girls basketball program. The program held their first car show fundraiser last fall.

"The car show idea all started when I was approached by a member of the Classic Knights Car Club," explained Spotswood High School Girls Basketball Coach Vincent Vizzi. "They are a non-profit club that look to give back to different communities and organizations. I immediately thought it was a fantastic idea. What better way to bring together the girls basketball program and our town!"

There is a $10 registrations fee per car. Admission to the event is free. Cars can be registered on the day of the event.

"People bring there cars from all over the state," Vizzi said. "Anyone with a vehicle that they would like to display are welcome."

"This event would not be possible without the assistance from Al DeLieto who works tirelessly behind the scenes advertising the show," Vizzi added. "Last year we had a terrific turnout and we hope to have an even larger show this year. If you are local and are looking for a fun, relaxing afternoon, I highly recommend  stopping by Spotswood High School on Sunday."
