BARNEGAT, NJ - As the Barnegat Docks expands its drive-in movie offerings, Committee Al Bille wants the public to be aware of a programming change. Jaws, which was previously scheduled for July 10th will no longer be shown.
“Jaws was pulled by Universal Studios,” advised Bille. “It's headed back to the big screen.”
The ambiance of the Barnegat Bay surely added to the appeal of the thriller film. Instead of fearfully waiting for a shark to surface from the water, movie goers will be dancing in their cars. The July 10th feature film has been changed to Grease.
The Barnegat Recreation Department, under the leadership of Jeanne Broadbent , set up the summer drive-in selections. The season begins with Frozen 2 on June 27 and ends with The Lion King on July 31.
Social distancing rules are in effect unless Governor Murphy's orders change before showtime. All patrons must remain in their vehicles.
