MORRISTOWN, NJ - Morristown High School student Alex Yipp was among the students honored as the Mayo Performing Arts Center Music Students of the month of June for Outstanding Brass Musicians. Students were from Morristown, Randolph and Kinnelon
Yipp was nominated by David Gallagher.
"Alex is one of the top Trumpet players at Morristown High School", wrote Gallagher. "This year head lead the Wind Ensemble as our principal Trumpet Player in addition to playing lead trumpet in the jazz band, and playing trumpet for the pit orchestra. Alex also auditioned for several honor bands this year. He played in the North Jersey Area Band Wind Ensemble, The Region 1 Symphonic Band, and he was selected to play with the All State Orchestra next year.
