RANDOLPH, NJ--.Randolph High School was happy to present its Eighth Annual Cabaret Night where all of the proceeds made went to the Choir Theater Booster Association. Choir director Mr. Matthew Swiss made the incredible night the great success it was. Similar to last year's Cabaret Night, the RHS choir showcased numerous Broadway songs , along with a delicious meal.
Some musicals highlghted were, Dear Evan Hansen, Hamilton, Waitress, Rent, and Sound of Music.
“It was so amazing to see all of the performances up on stage, the students in the choir really made it feel like we were watching a part of each musical they were taking a song from. It was absolutely incredible,” expressed RHS Senior Zachary Kozma.
The audience was taken aback with each performance and some were even singing along to the songs that they were familiar with. It was a successful night with many memorable performances.
“Cabaret this year was so much fun! I really enjoyed being able to sing in it with all of my friends and just enjoying the night,” noted Junior Caleigh Lawlor who took part in Cabaret Night.
“It was great listening to many musicians perform in our school community” said Junior Jonathan Bellinghausen.
The crowd was left in awe after each song that the students sang, whether it was a solo, duet, or the whole choir singing together. The emotions and vibes emitted from the choir brought everyone in the audience together.
The RHS choir surprised the audience by giving them a sneak peek to this year’s spring musical Shrek. Make sure to mark the date on your calendars to come see the performance on March 29-30.
