HELMETTA/SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The Spotswood PTA's Chalk the Walk, Bear Hunt and Easter Egg Hunt have made walking, running and biking through Helmetta and Spotswood a lot more fun during the coronavirus stay-at-home. Now, the PTA is inviting all residents to create a rainbow to display in their window from Friday, April 17 to Friday, April 24 for walkers, runners and bikers to count.

"We might be staying home, but we can still share love and light in the form of rainbows," said Spotswood PTA President Melissa Hallerman. "It's an easy way to spread hope, feel connected with our neighbors and communicate the bright message that we are all in this together, and it will be okay."

Residents are encouraged to use their creativity when crafting a rainbow. Photographs of rainbows can be emailed to the PTA at SpotswoodNJPTA@gmail.com or posted on social media using the hashtag #spotswoodnjpta.

The Spotswood PTA is also reminding all walkers, runners and bikers to remember to use the social distancing guidelines put forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention along with the New Jersey Governor's Office while enjoying the rainbow connection.
