MORRISTOWN, NJ - Into The Woods tells the tale of a Baker (Will DeLargy) and his Wife (Brenna Thornton), and their complicated quest to begin a family. A curse placed on their house by a spiteful Witch (Juliette Trumbull) has rendered the Baker and his Wife childless, so they set off into the woods to fetch ingredients for a potion to help lift the spell.

Along the way, they meet classic fairytale characters, such as Cinderella (Peyton Wild), Little Red Riding Hood (Carigan McGuinn), Jack (Sam Lewis), and Rapunzel (Maya Slaughter), as a spirited Narrator (Lena Schmitt) guides the audience through this journey.

But, this is not your average fairy tale, as the audience will soon discover. With music from the legendary Stephen Sondheim, Into the Woods reminds everyone to be careful what they wish for. Under the clever direction of Katie Adams, the characters learn that not every story ends happily ever after.

In addition to a hard-working cast, Morristown High School showcases a spectacular set designed by Mike Hession and built by a dedicated, student crew. An additional team of talented students comprise the hair & makeup and costume crew. A highly-skilled orchestra pit, proficient in playing the difficult Sondheim pieces, excels under Musical Director, David Gallagher.

“Our high school theatre program is amazing because we are solely student-run” says Student Director Maddy Sebiri. “This specific show really highlights how talented our cast and crew are, and captures the beauty of both the forest itself, and what our students can really do”.
