WARETOWN, NJ -  Families in Ocean Township won't have to travel far to find some local entertainment. Tonight and tomorrow's events both add to the hometown feel of neighbors meeting neighbors and those who help them.

The Ocean Township Police Department and Trailside Gardens have already teamed up to ticket kids for good behavior and "fine" them with a free ice cream cone.  Trailside Gardens paid out the associated fines in those cases. Tonight, Ocean Township PBA 371 plans to offer some tasty treats at the same site, located at 112 Wells Mills Road, Waretown.

Children will have the opportunity to meet police officers and enjoy an ice cream cone with officers from 6:30 pm until 8:20 pm this evening. They will also have a chance to check out police vehicles and the department's K9 unit.

Sonic the Hedgehog hits the big screen as a drive-in movie tomorrow night at 8:30 pm at the Frederick A. Priff Elementary School. Pack the car with plenty of snacks or take advantage of the food trucks parked on site.  Sub Bus and Nully's Ice Cream will be serving favorites as early as 7pm.
