FLEMINGTON, NJ - Deborah Orchowski will be the speaker at the next Small Biz Networking Meetup.

The Meetup will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19., and marks a return to the group’s usual schedule of meeting on the third Tuesday of each month.

The group meets at Al Fresco’s restaurant, which is located at the Shoppes here across from Home Goods. The cost is $18 and includes lunch.

Orchowski is a strategic content writer and will present, “Sea Monkeys, Star Wars, and Sasquatch: How to Use the Power of ‘Story’ to Stand Out from Your Competition.”

During this session you’ll learn how to use story-telling strategies in website content, case studies, and professional bios so you can inform, entertain, and ultimately connect with other people – and potential customers. She’ll talk about why stories work, how to connect with your readers’ hearts (without sounding like a daytime talk-show host) and finding your voice.

The Small Biz Networking Meetup has been in existence for more than 10 years and boasts a membership of 450 members. It  promotes networking with Hunterdon business owners and the group also provides a large resource table with business cards and flyers and product displays for members.

If you own a small business, you can register and RSVP online; guests are welcome. You can also send an email to founder Julie Parker.
