Scenes from the Scotch Plains Columbus Day Celebration

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- Scotch Plains hosted its Columbus Day Celebration and marked the 20th anniversary of the Township's Columbus Monument on Saturday, Oct. 20 at the Municipal Building (430 Park Ave.). 

The Columbus Monument is made of white Carrara marble and consists of a hand, holding a sphere representing land with a steel grid enclosing three sails, representing ocean.
