Abraham Clark H. S. Honors Teacher, Staff Member, and Business Owner at Monthly Meeting

ROSELLE, NJ - ACHS Principal Rashon Mickens gave a special presentation to staff member Jordan Siegal, a guidance counselor at the school, after he was nominated for the “Life Changer of the Year” contest by Lauryn Banks, junior, ROTC Officer, and honors student at ACHS. While Siegal is now in the running, if he wins, he will receive a prize of $5000 and the school will also receive a prize of $5000.

Daphne Jones, the Parent/Teacher Liaison, was recognized as the “Staff Member of the Month” by Mickens for her help in establishing relationships between the school and the community. 

Mickens also presented the “Community Hero of the Month” award. This month’s recipient is Vivak Arora, the owner of Dunkin' Donuts. Arora has two locations in Roselle and according to Mickens, always comes through and donates when asked to help. Mickens also noted that Arora hires many of the students from the high school at his many locations in Roselle, Roselle Park and Elizabeth.

Roselle Releases Garbage and Recycling Schedule for 2017

ROSELLE, NJ - The officials from the Roselle Department of Public Works (DPW), released the Garbage and Recycling schedule for 2017. 

The schedule shows no bulk pick up for the entire month of January. Bulk trash for the East Side will be the first Wednesday of the month and West Side will be the third Wednesday of the month.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — The Jewish Community Center of Central New Jersey was closed for a short time after preschool began there Wednesday morning due to a bomb threat.
