CHATHAM, NJ - Vince DeNave, Chatham Borough engineer, announced a move that should alleviate traffic congestion on Washington Avenue during school drop-off and pick-up at the regular meeting of the Borough of Chatham Council on Monday night.

DeNave told the council of the plan to expand the drop-off and pick-up area at Washington Avenue School, which will allow multiple buses to pull in front of the school. That will, in turn, lessen the backup of traffic on Washington Avenue and Chatham Street during those hours.
