ESL at the Library of The Chathams
The Library of The Chathams is announcing its next series of English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. It will start on Thursday, September 5, and will continue for 8 weeks, through October 24. The classes are taught by volunteer tutors and administered by LEARN (Language Education and Resource Network), a language teaching company based in Bernards Township, NJ. They are free to the students – all you need is a desire to learn.
We have a dedicated group of volunteer tutors who have taught in several sessions of the program. If you are interested in being an ESL tutor, please contact the library’s Assistant Director Galina Natenzon at 973‑635‑0603 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Classes take place once a week, with some homework assignments. Students are divided into small groups by skill level and receive a lot of personal attention. The library provides all learning materials; however, some students prefer to have their own workbooks, which are inexpensive and can be purchased at the library. You can enroll online on the library’s website, in person at the library, or by calling 973‑635‑0603.
