Uncontested Maplewood Primary Candidates Brownlee and Gartenlaub Win


MAPLEWOOD, NJ –In the primary election on Tuesday for Maplewood Township Committee, Democratic incumbent Marlon K. Brownlee and Republican Arthur Gartenlaub each won their uncontested races.

The two will run against each other for the one open seat in November, with the winner serving a three year term on the Committee.

Brownlee has served one term on the Committee, having been elected in 2010 over Republican candidate Bart Albini.

Gartenlaub has lost in two previous bids for a seat on the Committee, including the race last November against incumbents Kathleen Leventhal and Jerry Ryan.
