PATERSON, NJ - Customers at Silk City Platters have an extra incentive to visit the Market Street eatery on Wednesday.
According to information shared by owner Azi Alam, 25 percent of all their sales made today will be donated to Paterson Explorer Post 1.
Through the recently launched Explorer program Paterson students aged 14-18 have the chance to work alongside Paterson police officers learning the basics of working the scene of an accident, being part of an emergency response team, and life-saving skills like CPR.
“We are excited to help facilitiate the development of programs such as Explorers,” Alam told TAPinto Paterson when asked about the donation. “Through programs like these we can enable our teens to not only seek out their interests but also acquire necessary life skills such as discipline, responsibility, and diligence.”
“What better way to promote Paterson than to invest in our youth.”
Silk City Platters is located at 170 Market Street and open from 11:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. This fundraiser applies to dine-in and delivery orders. Guests should show the attached flyer either by printing it out or on their smartphone.
