Center for Prevention and Counseling to Host Military Family Night Out Program

NEWTON, NJ—The Center for Prevention and Counseling in Newton will be hosting a Military Family Night Out Program that is open to all residents in the county.

The free  program is open to veterans, active service members, as well as families who have a loved one deployed. The evening includes dinner as well as the opportunity to “bring parents and children of all ages together while having fun,” according to a press release given by the Center For Prevention and Counseling.

In the program, attendees can “learn in a welcoming atmosphere about supportive strategies to increase family wellness and acquire new ideas for daily living while connecting with other military families and services in the community,” according to the organization's publication.

The next group begins Thursday, October 19 at the Sparta Middle School, 350 Main St, Sparta Township, NJ 07871 and will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
