Convenient drop off locations in Holmdel, Middletown and Colts Neck, during regular business hours:

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ,:  2020 Prom season is on the way! There are many underprivileged teens who would love to have the opportunity to go to their high school prom, but the exorbitant cost of buying a gown or a suit is just not possible for them.

So many of us have gowns, cocktail dresses, suits/tuxedos that we have worn once and now they hang in our closets...or maybe they are still hanging with tags on never worn... Guaranteed there's a young girl or guy out there who can greatly benefit from items we are most likely never going to use again.

Our newsletter delivers the local news that you can trust.

TAPinto Holmdel & Colts Neck and TAPinto Middletown are once again participating in a Prom Drive to collect gently used or new Prom gowns of all lengths, and the accessories to go with; formal shoes, evening bags, costume jewelry, ties, ...any prom wear!

Open your closets and your hearts to giving to our local youth! TAPinto Holmdel, Colts Neck and Middletown Readers donated over 300 gowns, plus 32 suits, 28 men's dress/tux shirts, various shoes including a brand new in the box burgundy velvet never worn Manolo Blahnik pumps, hand bags and accessories... The gowns were spectacular, in nearly brand new condition, and many of our readers donated new gowns with the tags on, never worn...YOU made a difference in the lives of so many teens! Let's top that number this year for 2020 prom!!

This collection is to benefit the 2020 5th Annual Prom Drive by Lunch Break in Red Bank. The prom drive runs from today through the entire month of March. You can drop off your donations during regular operating hours to these local businesses who are hosting drop off locations for the prom drive:

Last year's prom drive served over 400 teens who all said, "Yes to the dress or tux!" Last year Salon Concrete in Bell Works brought in over 100 dress donations from the community and folks who work in Bell Works!  If you are in the area and would prefer to have your donations picked up call/text 732.492.2500

One teen's testimonial: “Prom is one of the biggest nights for many teens. The stress can override everything,” said Tiara Delarosa.  “But coming here made it 10 times easier. I appreciate the personal help. The dresses and shoes were all beautiful. Thank you to everyone.”

MORE DETAILS ON LUNCH BREAK'S 4TH ANNUAL PROM DRIVE:  Lunch Break makes many young men and women’s dreams come true on prom night -- it’s a Cinderella and Prince Charming story-come-to-life. Those who never thought they would have the memory of senior prom are granted their wish. Some young women are brought to tears upon trying on the one, perfect gown, as they say yes to the dress! And so begins the fairytale...

This year’s giveaway takes place from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, March 28th and 4-7 p.m. Monday, April 6th at the Life Skills Center, 648 Broad St. in Shrewsbury. After this initial event the mobile prom dress/tux show goes on the road directly to underprivileged high schools in NJ. It's a beautiful thing!
