NUTLEY, NJ - According to a TAPinto Nutley tipster, a flock of flamingos flew into Nutley Saturday night and spent the nght on the lawn of Anne Rotonda on Centre St. Reports from members of a Girl Scout Troop at Yantacaw school suggest that the flamingos are expected to make their home on lawns across the township through May 18.

This past Saturday, the special flamingo handlers were captured guiding the birds into place by the Nutley Relay for Life Pink Flamingos.

The "Nutley RFL Pink Flamingos" are one of the dozens of teams working to raise funds to support the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. The relay takes place May 18 in De Muro Park, fundraising projects will be taking place up to and including the night of the event.

For $25, Nutley RFL Pink Flamingos will "flock" the lawn of a neighbor or friend in Nutley.Trained specialists will gather a flock of flamingos and "flamingo" the lawn under cover of night. Details about arranging a flocking can be found on the Nutley RFL Pink Flamingos Facebook page.
