The Kassim Legacy Foundation was founded by 9th grader and Parkland resident Sinan Kassim. " I founded the Kassim Legacy Foundation to encourage the younger generation to engage in public speaking, speech and debate," stated Kassim. Kassim competes in Speech and Debate and has had great success. He has passed the preliminary rounds in tournaments at Harvard, Emory University, George Mason University and the University of Florida. He has also made it to qualifying rounds in Tournament of Champions and the Catholic Forensics League National Championship. In middle school, Kassim was a two time National Finalist and District Champion. Kassim also is a blogger, youtuber and youth activist with a mission to make the world a better place.

“Every student deserves a chance to allow their voice to be heard! Our goal is to empower youth through public speaking, to be powerful leaders, communicators, youth ambassadors, and global change agents," added Kassim.
