COLTS NECK, NJ: Today is Giving Tuesday, and what better way to give than to donate a toy to a child battling pediatric cancer. Today millions around the world are participating in a “global generosity movement” known as Giving Tuesday, which was created in 2012, as a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past seven years, Giving Tuesday has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
Ray and Kristine Garland are the owners of Frutta Bowls in Colts Neck, a gathering place for the community to socialize while enjoying delicious and healthy foods. Take a great business like Frutta Bowls and match it with an amazing charitable organization like The Frances Foundation and.... voila!
Frutta Bowls in Colts Neck will be collecting toys and games for all ages of children, from infant to teenagers. Not just on Giving Tuesday, but through the 14th of December, stop by Frutta Bowls and drop off a new unwrapped toy or game. These items will be donated to pediatric cancer families at The Frances Foundation's Merry Annual Holiday Party, later this month.
Pediatric cancer families often spend several months in the hospital with their sick child. Many parents cannot continue to work, many have very limited funds. Each and every gift donated will be put into the hands of a child who is battling or has a sibling battling pediatric cancer. Your gift is sure to make a child smile. Please drop off your unwrapped, new toy or game by December 14th, at Frutta Bowls, in the Orchards Plaza, 340 State Route 34, (int. of 34 and 537), in Colts Neck. The best gift is giving and you will be happy you gave!
