PARKLAND, FL- The Greater Broward Chapter of The Pap Corps will hold their annual scavenger hunt on Saturday, April 6 at 6:00 p.m. The evening will include happy hour in Heron Bay, scavenger hunt and dinner with location disclosed at happy hour. The search will be played in teams of 4-6 people. People can can sign up as a team or be placed with a team. Registration is a $65 donation per player. Once registered, players will receive an email inviting them to the secret FB Scavenger Hunt page.
Funds raised during the event will be donated to cancer research at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami. Sylvester is among an elite group of 11 cancer centers across the country. It is beneficial to our community to have this nationally ranked cancer treatment center so close to provide ground breaking treatment to offer the best outcomes possible.
The Pap Corps, named after famed Miami-area cancer detection research doctor George Papanicolaou, is an all-volunteer nonprofit with 53 local branches and over 21,000 members. The Greater Broward Chapter itself has contributed close to $200,000 since its inception. In 2010, the Greater Broward Chapter began with approximately 20 members. To date, the Greater Broward Chapter has 250 members in the Parkland/Coral Springs/Coconut Creek area. Current annual membership fees are $40 with additional opportunities to participate in fundraising events.
