We the undersigned, along the help of many others, have been working together for the past several weeks in an attempt to show support for our First Responders (specifically Nutley and Belleville Police and Fire Departments, along with EMT/EMS) in an inclusive and positive way.

Since inception, we have made it a point that this rally is 100% politically neutral and have advised all participants to bring: FLAGS FOR OUR NATION, FLAGS FOR OUR FIRST RESPONDERS and/or positive messages for first responders.

Despite our attempts, it has been brought to our attention that a person on Instagram named “King of Nutley” has altered and posted our official flyer without our knowledge or consent. To be clear, this person is NOT an organizer and is not associated with us in any way, shape, or form.

Our newsletter delivers the local news that you can trust.

Please be made aware, this rally OFFICIALLY ends at the Nutley Police Station. The “King of Nutley” revised our flyer to change the end point to a different street and has advertised this falsely to local news outlets under the guise that it was an official change.

We ask that you kindly ignore anything you read otherwise, as the official flyer has been approved by the Township after multiple meetings, edits and discussions to express our intent to keep this family friendly, peaceful and politically neutral.

At the rally’s end, all are welcomed to visit Pag’s Restaurant (located 227 Franklin Avenue, Nutley) to stay for lunch (outdoor seating) or a quick service menu full of specials to grab and go.

They will be fully compliant with COVD-19 safety guidelines and will also be donating a portion of their proceeds to frontline heroes.

Please, lets all come together and show how much we support our First Responders and deeply appreciate their sacrifice and service, especially in light of the past several months with keeping us safe. We hope to see everyone there!

Thank you,

Ms. Daria Weedo, Ms. Jenny Swistok, and Mr. Joseph Curcio
