Chatham Girl Scout Troop 96216 worked towards their Bronze Award by organizing a children’s book drive to donate to Bridge of Books in Holmdel.
Together, with the support of our wonderful local businesses and supportive community, Troop 96216 collected an impressive 1,800 children’s books that were delivered to Bridge of Books. Those books were then sorted by the girls into boxes by grade level and packed up to be delivered to those who need them.
We are so fortunate to have a community and local businesses that care so deeply about others and are always willing to help. Girl Scout Troop 96216 would like to thank the following businesses for their generosity in allowing them to place collection boxes in their establishments: Art for Heart, Purple Aardvark, Drip Coffee, Dunkin Donuts, Jabberwocky, and The USPS.
Bridge of Books is a non-profit volunteer-led organization that provides an ongoing source of books to underserved children throughout New Jersey in order to support the development of literacy skills and to encourage a love of reading.
