The non-profit organization Kick Cancer Overboard has awarded free cruises to Bermuda for eight years on the Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas. Co-Founders DonnaLyn Giegerich and Ted Friedli organize events and fundraisers throughout the year to raise awareness and funds for these cruises.

“Thanks to a full house and the generosity of all the people attending, Kick Cancer Overboard was able to surprise 17 people affected by cancer with a free cruise to Bermuda,” said Ted Friedli, Co-Founder of Kick Cancer Overboard.

Guests enjoyed an afternoon at the Buona Sera Palazzo located at the St. George Greek Orthodox Church Cultural Center in Ocean Twp. At the center of the afternoon were the talented student rock n’ rollers ages 8 to 18 that played and sang classic rock songs and Christmas songs, entertaining and inspiriting the audience to sing and dance.

"Our tireless and talented volunteer team of go-givers has granted over 300 "to sea for free" cruises in 8 years," said DonnaLyn Giegerich, Co-Founder of Kick Cancer Overboard.

The next cruise to depart for the four families will be in June of 2019.  They will be joining several other families that have been awarded cruises this year in a cruise to Bermuda, enjoying the many amenities of a cruise with their family and friends.

Kick Cancer Overboard (KCO) is a local 501c3 not for profit organization that gives away free cruises to people whose lives have been affected by cancer. It organizes various local fundraisers throughout the year to support a specific family or individual on a free cruise for a few days.
