SUMMIT, NJ - Applications for the City of Summit's unpaid summer college internship program will be accepted beginning April 1 and through April 19. Interviews will be scheduled beginning in late April for selected applicants.

College students majoring in political science, public administration, human resources management, finance, or communications are encouraged to apply for the program. Interns are required to work a minimum of 20 hours per week for four weeks in the month of June.

“The City of Summit internship program is an excellent way for young residents to gain important work experience,” said Summit Mayor Nora Radest. “We offer a number of very interesting opportunities for students to pursue with direct involvement in municipal projects.”

Alumni of the City of Summit internship program have secured positions in the White House internship program and with the US State Department, as well as paid positions at Google, Tesla Motors and Goldman Sachs.
