BERNARDSVILLE, NJ -- An ordinance that would appropriate $75,000 from the borough's Open Space Trust Fund for several improvements in the municipality was introduced at Monday night's Borough Council meeting.

The breakdown of the funding of three upgrades in town would go this way:

$35,000 would go to remediation of the Nervine Park Dam, as mandated by the state.

$25,000 for improvements to the picnic grove at the Bernardsville Pool.

$15,000 for plantings that would create a buffer around Kiwanis Park, which just recently underwent renovations.

There will be a public hearing on the ordinance at the next Borough Council meeting on Monday, March 25.
