MADISON, NJ - The Borough of Madison’s Public Scoping Hearing, originally scheduled for January 23, 2020 has been POSTPONED, announced borough officials.

The hearing was to discuss the proposed diversion of approximately 1.743 acres +/-  at the Madison Recreation Complex in regards to Madison’s Affordable Housing litigation and settlement efforts.

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and Green Acres has contacted the borough. The agencies informed the borough that they are "asserting primary jurisdiction regarding the borough's diversion request, unilaterally reversing their prior ruling issued in April 2019 that they waived jurisdiction".
