FAR HILLS, NJ -- The Far Hills Borough Council is scheduled to meet Monday night, March 25 at 7 p.m. at Borough Hall, and many residents in town are expected to attend in anticipation of discussion of a proposed housing development being planned on Route 202 opposite Lake Road.

According to the local organization the Far Hills Team, comprised of more than 100 borough residents, preliminary agreements have been signed by the Borough Council with developer Pulte Homes for 134 townhouses, each one 3,000 square feet with three bedrooms and two-car garages.

"But information has not yet been presented to the Zoning Board and Planning Board," according to a release from the Far Hills Team, which has said in a release to local media outlets that "the people deserve an opportunity to be a part of the conversation and voice their concerns around this development project, which seems to have been hidden in plain sight."

Twice, meetings scheduled that would have included discussion on the development were postponed, on both March 4 and March 11. The March 4 meeting was canceled on that day, late in the afternoon, just hours before the meeting was scheduled to begin.
