KENILWORTH, NJ – Please see February's message from Mayor Linda Karlovitch.
I hope everyone had a great start to the new year. With hardly any snow and mild temperatures we have been fortunate. New Jersey groundhogs appear to be split in their decision, although I am hoping for an early spring. These cooler months are a great time to visit our public library and enjoy some of the abundant program offerings for all ages. Museum passes are also available to borrow at the Library, creating a fun and educational way to spend an afternoon.
I would like to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day. I hope you enjoy special times with family and friends. Please remember all the great restaurants and local flower and gift shops we have in town when considering a gift for your special someone.
Census 2020 is coming soon. Every decade America comes together to count every resident in the United States. The success of the census is dependent on everyone’s participation. Results provide basis for billions of federal funds to state and local communities to support vital programs impacting housing, education, transportation, employment and public policy. Census data is relied upon to determine the need for new roads, hospitals and schools. I urge all residents to be on the lookout and participate. This is important to you and our community.
Please be careful as we move through the remaining winter months. Be kind to one another.
