OLEAN, NY – In conjunction with Catt County Cat Nippers, the city will conduct a Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate and Return Program in Ward 5 from June 2 to 8.

After the cats are neutered and vaccinated, their ears will be surgically tipped, and they will be returned to the neighborhood where they were trapped. They will no longer be able to reproduce, thus reducing the feral cat population in the neighborhood.

Cattaraugus Cat Nippers has worked to stabilize the overpopulation of feral cats in the county since 2018. The organization will work with Operation PETS, the Spay Neuter Clinic of WNY Inc., to neuter and vaccinate the feral cats that roam Olean neighborhoods.
